I am a data analyst/scientist with a background in applied mathematics. I have a strong background in Python, including some working obscure packages surrounding data analysis as well as database administration. I have also worked on Linux and Unix systems in an administrator role, and am able to handle configuration and deployment of projects onto multiple different flavors of Linux. I have experience working in both commercial production environments, where I am currently creating a federated search engine which will be used by the non-profit sector, as well as in an academic research setting, where I worked on projects that included writing a mathematical analysis tool for comparing techniques to identify subsurface activatable faults within a region and creating a simple ocean circulation model to analyze potential changes in the thermohaline circulation. In addition to my research in academia, I worked on administering my lab's computer systems.
