I am new to Guru.com, but not to computer programming and support. I have 29 years of experience in the computer industry working for Digital Equipment Corporation, Compaq and Hewlett-Packard. I have written or debugged programs in many languages including: various versions of C/C++, Pascal, Basic, Visual Basic, Java, VAX Macro, Bliss and Ops5. I have particular expertise with the OpenVMS and Tru64 Unix operating systems, but also have worked with Windows, Linux and HPUX as well as older systems such as PDP11 RSX11, RT11, or PDP8 with OS8.
