I've been editing and proof-reading for about six years now, in a multitude of fields. I've worked on PhD and MA theses in various fields from the arts to medical sciences, I've worked on short stories and novels, and have put together a number of anthologies for Solarwyrm Press. I've also worked on a number of non-fiction projects from technical manuals to CVs. As you can imagine, this makes my skill set pretty diverse, and I can turn my hand to almost anything, in either UK or US English. I'm a writer myself as well, so I have a good idea about creating and/or maintaining the tone and voice of a piece while polishing it up to make sure it really shines. I love this work - I am passionate about successfully enhancing other people's work to perfection, while maintaining their unique tone and flavour. My priority is always to provide excellent and accurate work with an exceptional turn-around rate. I work quickly but effectively. I can usually commit to about 5 or 6 hours of work a day, but will work more hours to ensure I hit deadlines if I need to. I generally try to turn short projects around within 24 hours, and longer ones within a week. I really enjoy developing ongoing relationships with clients. I'm a firm believer in clear communication regarding expectations and needs, and would be dedicated to making sure you're absolutely thrilled with the work I do.
