I have excellent writing and editing skills, and have written and edited both fiction and non-fiction for years. My grammar and spelling is at a professional standard, and I have been sub-editing theses for PhD and MA students for the last five years. I have also edited, copy-edited and typeset a number of anthologies of short stories for Solarwyrm Press (solarwyrm.com), and have recently edited an anthology of stories for charity (Heartbeats: Voices Against Oppression). I have a number of other published works, including fiction and academic writing.
My extensive and varied experience means that I am versatile, and able to code-switch between, for example, UK and US English. I've worked on ebooks and print-books, and therefore am familiar with the different formatting requirements, as well as specific requirements of services like Createspace.
I've worked with both fiction and non-fiction in a number of different fields and genres, and am therefore very well-versed in field and genre specific requirements. I've also developed ongoing editing relationships with writers, who send me repeat work, since they're so happy with the service I offer.
Work Terms
My priority is always to provide excellent and accurate work with an exceptional turn-around rate. I work quickly but effectively. I can usually commit to about 5 or 6 hours of work a day, but will work more hours to ensure I hit deadlines if I need to. I generally try to turn short projects around within 24 hours, and longer ones within a week.
I give high priority to potential repeat customers, as I really enjoy developing ongoing relationships with clients. I'm a firm believer in clear communication regarding expectations and needs, and would be dedicated to making sure you're absolutely thrilled with the work I do. Having said that, I am also happy to take on one-time projects, and can guarantee accurate and efficient work.
