I tested in the high 90th percentiles for proofreading and editing tests I took on Odesk, another contractor site. This is because I hold a BA in English and also am meticulous about ensuring accuracy. I am a grammarian but not a square. I can't stand hearing the simple past tense when the past perfect is required, but I'm also a fan of colloquialisms like "I feel good!" when in Texas. I edit with style, polish and a sensitivity to the cultural environment. Londoners will want more high-brow prose than they will in Mineral Wells.
