I'm currently employed as a receptionist/editorial clerk in a newsroom for a central Minnesota newspaper.My current job duties require an attention for detail. I am the obituary writer for the newspaper and have done so for the last 14 years.I do many re-writes on press releases for various organizations, namely non-profit groups and churches.I also do copy editing and proofreading of news pages, making note of AP style, grammar and punctuation usage and spelling. I am the copy editor for a quarterly women's magazine called Her Voice as well as an educational magazine for a local school district called We are 181.I am currently learning layout of pages as well.My writing experience consists of columns as I am not out in the field as a reporter interviewing people.
