Completed a practical data processing project focused on cleaning, structuring, and preparing messy data for analysis using Microsoft Excel.
What I did:
• Imported and examined a raw dataset with inconsistencies, missing values, and formatting issues
• Cleaned the data: removed duplicates, fixed errors, standardized formats, and handled missing values
• Structured the data using tables, proper headers, and consistent data types
• Applied formulas (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, IF, TEXT functions, etc.) to transform and enrich the data
• Created summary tables and basic analysis using Pivot Tables
• Prepared a clean, analysis-ready dataset suitable for further reporting or dashboard creation
Tools used: Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, Pivot Tables, data validation, conditional formatting)
This project demonstrates my ability to turn messy data into clean, structured, and usable information — a key skill for data processing and junior data analysis roles.
