I was the Administrative Assistant for a Municipal Court in my city. My duties included reviewing legal correspondence for accuracy; maintaining Excel and Access databases for citations and jurors; and running audits on our citations and collections cases to resolve discrepancies. I also handled random problems as they arose; I once wrote a press release, delivered invitations, and decorated for the grand opening of a community garden with only 5 hours notice (I designed the flyers and sponsorship banners as well, but I had far more notice for those). Some of my day to day tasks included: Managing emails and calendars for several office members Verifying and correcting data entry by clerks Collating documents for various cases Maintaining correspondence with defendants and government entities
