Hello my name is Katie and I am a expert Squarespace website designer. I have built over 200+ Squarespace websites over the last year and have not had one unhappy client! (reference upon request) I approach each and every website that I build, existing website or brand new from scratch, by doing the following: 1) I assess the text content, images and any other content presented in a FREE consultation. If it is a new build I will help plan a navigation layout so the website has great flow, ease and user-ability to follow. If it is an existing website, I will assess what has been done, how it's laid out and I will provide my feedback on how it can be improved or what can be added or taken away. If you have an existing website that you are re-designing on Squarespace then I will conduct a 301 URL re-direct to protect your current website ranking in the search engines. 2) I tell all of my clients the following- I design and layout all of the websites I build with the idea in mind that if you could take your visitor/potential client by the hand and walk them through your website, where and what information/pages would you want to take them to and in what order. What pages and content needs to be of great focus and how do we get them there? Once they are there how do we get them to understand your service/product/etc.? 3) Once we have established the skeleton of the website, the navigation, text content and its user-ability to read and understand the text (don't want to be to text heavy but just enough for SEO as well) then I focus in on style, font parings and colors scheme. I refer to my websites style and design as "living in the same world". You do not want certain features to fight with others, you simply want them to compliment each other and you want them to be cohesive.
