Feridun Emre Dursun is a film music composer and the founder of Filmime Muzik Project. His keen interest in music has emerged in his early years; playing piano, guitar, percussions and ethnic instruments as baglama, oud, mandolin and ukulele. He graduated from SAE Istanbul Institute Audio Engineering Program, focusing on theoretical and intuitive aspects of film music scoring throughout his thesis study. In parallel with his music education, Feridun Emre Dursun also has a bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering and a master’s degree in Marketing. His professional works include music production for TV series, video games, shorts, feature films, documentaries, commercials, plays and children songs. He was nominated for the best film composer award at 50th International Antalya Golden Orange film festival with his first feature film, Overture. In 2014, he founded Filmime Muzik project, a stock music platform to gather the composers and directors. In 2016, he began collaborating with the UCLA instructor and Hollywood film music orchestrator Dr. Norman Ludwin, translating his books on orhestration into Turkish. Currently being the lead composer of Istanbul Film Music Orchestra – a symphony orchestra dedicated to soundtrack production and performance, Feridun Emre Dursun continues to provide services as a freelance composer and music producer.
