As both creative director and project leader, I have had the opportunity to work on a wide range of web projects, from online galleries showcasing local artists' work to mid-sized e-commerce ventures and large information-based sites. I have been involved in all aspects of web development, from useability assessment and information architecture planning to design implementation to site build and launch. Although my focus has always been on design, my technical skills (e.g. HTML, Javascript, Perl, PHP), as well as a familiarity and broad understanding of the medium, contribute greatly to my overall success as a web designer. I believe that good design requires a very practical skill set that includes the ability to interpret an objective or idea and communicate it in an effective way. I have also taken on several print design projects on a freelance basis, including poster, brochure and logo design. I have successfully telecommuted for organizations in Canada, the U.S. and Europe
