I'm a software developer with experience in many areas of programming, from low-level systems development to both frontend and backend web development, though the area I am the most skilled at is systems and backend development. The main lesson my background has taught me is the value of emphasizing correctness. If you do the job right the first time, you will have many less future headaches to deal with with regards to maintaining and extending your product.
