Infographic

$33/hr Starting at $200

Developing an effective infographic, is not, and should ever be about nice graphics. It's about the content. The idea you need to conceptualize, simplify and tell in a way that is simple to understand. You have to pre-digest the idea visually. Establish a flow of the information that will tell a story effectively. That is the hardest part about an infographic, and what really determines if you can get your point across, explain a complex or abstract process, business, important fact/data, etc. Once you have that sketched out, which is parallel to what are called wire frames in web design/architecture, you can move on to the actual aesthetics. Many freelancers resort to cliparts. And I have to say, there are a lot of free wonderful resources out there. Infographics, in my opinion, has degraded a lot since the first companies like Xplain started doing infographics in early 2000's. Now "everyone" is doing them. Since cliparts are easy to find, and customers don't really understand how important it is to find someone who takes the initial brainstorming seriously, and truly has an ability to translate ideas into visuals (which sometimes is not atainable with generic cliparts). Sure, you can always find a guy who will do an "infographic" for you for under $100. But you can be sure, he will not be spending a lot of time in making sure it accomplishes what you are expecting it to do, which is EXPLAIN clearly your concept/idea/business/process.
