Level 2 IT Support Engineer

With more than 6 years of professional working experience in troubleshooting hardware, software and network issues, you can trust that I'd be of a great help to your team. Add that with my passion for technology, continuous desire to learn new things (since being in the IT field - we all know that it is an ever changing field), add to that a heap of skills and experiences I've gained by being part of different companies and Managed Service Providers and you've got your go to guy for your IT issues! Some of my experience includes but are not limited to the following:

o Helping L1's and team mates with complex issues
o Management of user accounts, workstations, databases and shared/network resources
o Provide orientation and training to end users for all modified and new systems
o Set up and troubleshooting a range of devices from Windows/PC, Mac using a range of remote support applications such as Labtech, Kaseya, RDP, WinRA, Joinme, Teamviewer
o Mail set up and troubleshooting email issues on mobile devices (Android and iPhone)
o Virtual Machine Administration via VMWare Vsphere client 5.5 and Web Client
o Physical and Virtual Servers management and maintenance (MS SQL Server, Windows Server 2003, 2008 R2 , 2012)
o User account management in Active Directory and in Exchange server 2007, 2010, 2013, and Office 365
o Backup checks, backup monitoring and troubleshooting failed backups (ShadowProtect, Veeam Backup and Replication)
o NAS systems administration (FreeNAS and Napp-it)
o Knowledge with setting up a network infrastructure and mid-advanced troubleshooting and configuration of:
? Cisco Routers and Switches and Juniper routers
? Firewall Appliances e.g. Watchguard Firebox, m0n0wall, Sonic wall
o Familiarity with Linux system and Linux commands
o Using ticketing systems (Connectwise and Autotask)
