Apple is launching the new operating system, the new "iOS 16" operating system, on September 12, and it will be available for a limited range of phones.

iPhone 14

The phones that will receive the operating system update include: the new iPhone 14 series, iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro, iPhone 13 Pro Max, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro Max, iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max

The list also includes: “iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR, iPhone X, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, and iPhone SE (2nd generation and later)

The new system, iOS 16, will come with features that enhance the smart capabilities of iPhone phones, including the ability to control phones more, especially the lock screen, which will bring a “new personality.”

New features also include notifications, messaging apps, mail, and photos, in addition to the emergence of new layers of security within the Safari browser known as "passkeys", a new method of fully encrypted login that is safe from phishing and data leaks.
