Laura's clients are those looking to change careers after years of working in the same old field; they're interested in finding clarity on an exciting new direction and staying organized in their search for the ideal position or occupation. If you feel disenchanted with your current career and want a change, or are just looking to get hired within the same field, she can help you discover your best, most fulfilling path and stay on task while letting you relax a little. She also assists with resume writing, interviewing strategies, salary negotiation, and increasing your chances of raises and promotions. Laura subscribes to the Gestalt philosophy that the client is the best expert on him- or herself; the coach merely brings out that buried knowledge and helps put it into action. Additionally, she is happy to share any relevant insights that she has picked up from academic and professional experience. She received her Master's in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis on Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University in 2008 and was a member of Psi Chi, the national honor society for psychology students. She graduated from the International Coach Academy's Certified Professional Coach Program (executive niche) in 2010, and completed her Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in the spring of 2013. Laura is currently working with a web developer to create a service for individuals and organizations to hire and work with executive coaches via the Internet. She holds the ICF ACC credential, and her career coaching certification is underway. Her next project is a course for women wanting to be taken seriously in business.
