$15/hr Starting at $25

Maja Hellman, 18, has appealed her life sentence.

Maja Hellman, 18, has now appealed her life sentence after the murder of Tove in Vetlanda, which Swedish Radio was the first to report on.

Johanna Leshem Jansson, 20, has previously appealed her life sentence.

Maja Hellman wants the verdict of murder to be overturned and the verdict of grave violation of grave peace to be changed to grave violation.

The appeal comes three days after Johanna Leshem Jansson, who was also sentenced to life in prison for the murder, appealed her sentence.

"The district court has wrongly selected the parts of (the 20-year-old's) and (the 18-year-old's) statements that fit into the verdict that the district court wanted to reach and otherwise assessed their information as not credible," wrote the 20-year-old's lawyer in the appeal.
