Mechanical Engineering

$65/hr Starting at $200

I can take your ideas from concept to working prototype and on to production or anything in-between. Hello my name is Brian and I am a mechanical engineer from Cookeville Tennessee. I am a graduate of Tennessee Technological University. I spent the first 5 years of my career working for an engineering consulting company where I worked on a wide array of projects. These projects ranged from designs for spinal surgery tools, crash testing vehicles and logging data, FEA (mechanical stress) analysis of dump truck beds, CFD (fluid flow) analysis of stationary turbine exhaust systems, and the design and construction of 8 ton flywheel energy storage devices. I think this job gave me a great mix of mechanical engineering and industrial design skills that we can use to develop your products. I have been working as a freelance engineer since 2012. I have continued to work for a wide array of clients including, electric skateboard manufacturer Marbel (ridemarbel.com), children's toy manufacturer Ubbi (ubbiworld.com), and an automotive manufacturer where I was tasked with designing and building an entire car (which I completed successfully) including the frame, all suspension components, brake design, etc. If you would like to see more examples of my work please see my portfolio. Whether it is designing an injection molded Ipad case, a fancy enclosure for a new electronics device or designing and building a steel tube frame chassis for a racecar, I can do it. I can help you take your ideas and turn them into a real working product.
