Motorola unveiled the new generation of Motorola Edge phones, Motorola Edge 2022, which comes for the first time with the new Dimensity 1050 chipset.The new phone spots a middle area between the mid-range phones and the flagship phones, and thanks to the new chipset this year, it provides a higher performance than most of the medium phones on the market.The Dimensity 1050 chipset is based on a 6 nm architecture with 5G support, and it consists of two Cortex-A78 CPU cores (2.5 GHz) and six A55 cores (2.0 GHz), as well as a Mali-G610 MC3 GPU.The new chipset is paired with 8GB of RAM, 256GB (not expandable) internal storage, and Android 12 operating system.

Starting with the screen, the Motorola Edge 2022 gets a 6.^-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, with a refresh rate of 144 Hz, and support for HDR10+. There is a 32-megapixel selfie camera.At the back, the new phone gets a 50-megapixel main camera, and an ultra-wide 120-degree 13-megapixel camera, along with a macro lens and a depth sensor.The main camera can record 4K videos at 60fps and slow-motion videos at 1080p at 120fps. The ultra-wide camera is up to 1080p at 30fps.The phone is powered by a 5000 mAh battery with 30W TurboPower charging like its predecessor, but this year it supports 15W wireless charging and 5W reverse charging. The phone does not come with a charger in the box.

Other features in the Motorola Edge 2022 include dual speakers with Dolby Atmos audio and USB port connectivity, Wi-Fi 6E fully wireless connectivity available at 2.4, 5 and 6 GHz, Bluetooth 5.2, and NFC.The phone is IP52 compliant which ensures protection from dust and water drops.

The Motorola Edge 2022 phone is available through the company’s website in the United States of America at a price of $ 499’, and Al-Sharia has not revealed prices and availability in other regions yet.
