Proof Reading / Editing / Transcription

I have previous experience working in a small, fast paced IT company specialising in telephony services, where I worked in the sales team, working closely alongside our sales director. This role involved preparing technical documentation, writing reports and sales proposals for our clients. These proposal and reports would be based on information collected from our clients as well as our engineers and specialists, and would include graphs, diagrams and data in the form of spreadsheets as well as written word. As well as the above my Sales Director would often have me read over reports he himself had written and would have me proof read, format and edit the documents for him before sending them off to our clients or business partners. I was also often tasked with transcribing pdf's or hand written information into word documents, as well as transcribing information from spreadsheets into written word format and visa versa. As well as the above, I also have plenty of experience with writing both marketing and psychology reports and essays from my days at Victoria University of Wellington, where I graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in psychology and marketing. Throughout my studies I gained consistently high grades, and in my final year I received the Supreme Excellence Award from the School of Marketing because of my high academic success. Furthermore, whilst at University I also worked as a Marketing tutor. This position required me to read and mark reports written by my students and provide appropriate feedback. Therefore I have experience with reading and analysing reports objectively and being able to provide constructive criticism and developed a keen eye to recognise where improvements can be made.
