Successful resume writing requires experience in the Human Resource field for several reasons. First, recruiting demands are always changing; therefore, resumes and cover letters must change with the market. Secondly, gone are the days where prospective employees can use a "cookie cutter" resume template to win a job. Resumes must contain specific key words and phrases that match the job posting in order to articulate relevant experience. And lastly, with the rise of recruiting websites, prospective employees need to re-enter their resume data into web programs in order to apply for jobs. This all can be an incredibly time consuming project. For the past decade, I have been on both sides of the recruiting table.
