Most visual effects need a very meticulous preliminary job called rotoscoping or motion tracking. I am a fan of it. It fills my need to always make something awesome like putting a logo behind a dancer, a feed on otherwise turned off TV screen in a kinetic shot, removing a person behind a subject or coloring a rather black and white interview. The hard work behind is just so fulfilling. And for these, I use Adobe After Effects and its available plugins.
