Sandra Oh has a whopping 13 Emmy nominations covering her performance as Eve Polaski in Killing Eve as well as her producing credits on the acclaimed series, as well as for guest stints on SNL and another five nominations for playing Dr. Cristina Yang on ABC’s long-running Grey’s Anatomy, which she left in 2014 after working on the show for a solid decade.

She is sure to be back in the Emmy conversation again this year not just once for the fourth and final season of Killing Eve but also for the Netflix series The Chair. This means she could be back in contention the Lead Actress Drama for Eve as well as Lead Actress Comedy for The Chair. Both would be richly deserved for this terrific actor, who also is making statements with her career choices about being one of the rare Asian leads on television series. Oh has made her mark on the big screen as well, notably in Sideways and Under the Tuscan Sun among other live-action films, and then in animated features like 2020’s Over the Moon, 2021’s Oscar nominated Raya and the Last Dragon, and the current Pixar release Turning Red. She is constantly working and winning high praise for her performances as well as for her social conscience.
