My background was in application development and systems analysis. However in recent years, I have moved to moved to agile Scrum so that I can leave the development and analysis to the developers and the analysts and be in a position that will harness the prior experience and be in a role that will coordinate between the product owners, the developers, and the analysts, embrace iterative development, continuous improvement, and customer collaboration, and guide your company operation into success.
As Scrum Master, I will perform the following tasks:
-Serve as a liaison between the product owner and the Scrum team to maintain sprint backlog and ensure sprint planning meats the goals.
-Continuously improve communications between product owner, the Scrum Team, other Scrum Teams and the company stake holders.
-Maintain and update the team(s) Atlassian Jira dashboard.
-Monitor progress and eliminate impediments, and seek opportunities for continued improvements.
-Prepare monthly and quarterly performance metrics such as velocity and burndown charts.
-Ensure all Product Backlog Items (PBIs) are aligned with current and future sprint goals and overall company goals buy routinely meeting with stakeholders and product owners, and perhaps business analysts & systems analysts to determine stated objectives and resolve any impediments impacting any of the current PBIs.
-Lead and contribute to the program increment planning ceremonies from inception to increment deployment.
-Regularly meet and attend the Scrum of Scrums meeting to share progress with other Scrum Teams and identify and resolve any impediments.
-Make sure the work today is aligned with the roadmap of overall work of tomorrow for the company as a whole.
