With over fifteen years of experience working on defense contracts for DARPA and the US Navy, as well as work in the commercial sector in silicon valley, I have a wide range of skills I will put to work for you. I can build, fix and maintain websites and web applications in a variety of languages/platforms, including HTML/CSS (responsive design), Javascript/ECMAScript, NodeJS, React, Express, Bootstrap, Apache, NGINX, Jetty, SquareSpace, Wordpress, and Ghost. I also have extensive experience building desktop applications written in Java (Swing/JavaFX), C, C++, and Win32, and scripts in a variety of languages including bash, powershell, and python. I have done work with databases and DB interfaces, including MySQL/MariaDB, H2, MongoDB, GraphQL, and Apollo. At my level of experience I can easily pick up new languages, platforms and technologies, so I'm not limited to those listed above. My experience has also made me very effective at understanding, maintaining and improving legacy code. I can very quickly pick up and understand existing work, allowing me to get to work for you quickly.
