I have been working in server administration (shell/GUI) since 10+ years. I manage (install/configures) hosting servers with web (apache/nginx/tomcat/IIS), mysql, mssql, asp.net, php, mail, dns etc. I worked with several control panels such as webmin, cPanel/WHM, HELM, Plesk / Plesk Onyx, DirectAdmin, zPanel, SolusVM, WebsitePanel etc. etc. I also have experience in Office365, Azure, AWS EC2. The Linux flavors i mostly worked with are CentOS, Ubuntu, Debian. Also have worked on Ansible and Vagrant. In summary, this is what I do : 1) Help clients via helpdesk, live chats on technical issues related with Webserver, MySQL, DNS, Email issues (bounce backs, spam, mail specific DNS settings etc.), ASP.NET, .NET framework, SQL Server, Control Panels (WHM, Plesk, SolidCP), PHP, Apache, WAFs, Firewalls, Wordpress and its security etc. 2) I configure, administer Cloud VPS, Dedicated Servers (of customer's and our shared hosting). 3) Advise customers on issues as well as scripts updates, vulnerabilities (specially on WordPress). 4) Guide my colleagues on troubleshooting the issues. 6) Resolve abuse issues / DC coordination (DCs in US, Europe, South Africa) 7) Setup/administer monitoring systems such as Nagios, PandoraFMS, Zenoss (a bit). My daily jobs covers the following (but not limited to) : - PHP issues - .NET framework issues - MySQL issues - Apache - IIS (handle mapping, binding, request filtering, request tracing, ISAPI filters, redirects, rewrite rules etc.) - MSSQL server (DB restore/creation, scripts execution, SQL server configuration, roles etc.) - Mail issues (blacklists, bounce backs, smtp errors etc.) - Wordpress security/audit/advisory/migrations etc. - Control Panels related (WHM/cPanel, HELM, WebsitePanel/SolidCP) issues - SSL installs (normal, EV, wildcard) + Tweaking - Azure VMs setups - VPS and Dedicated Servers full setups
