I'm a seasoned software engineer with almost 20 years working on large scale systems in the Internet and cloud. In recent years I have focused on building high-performance systems software, devops, and data engineering Key focus areas: Python, Docker, databases (MySQL, Postgres, InfluxDB, Redis), ETL pipelines, BASH/Shell scripting, Git, Linux, AWS, TCP/IP networking, microservices architectures, cloud security, ML algorithms Earlier in my career I worked in software and solutions engineering at IP networking systems vendors where I worked with large Telcos on their mobile & fixed networking deployments I’m currently a co-founder of an algorithmic trading firm where I lead platform development and systems architecture. I spend most of my time doing data wrangling work, and optimizing/scaling our AWS deployment.
