Software Engineer(Negotiable rates)

$5/hr Starting at $50

I have been programming in various languages for a good portion of my life. Mostly Hobby stuff, but I did attend college for Game and Simulation Programming which might seem a bit oriented toward game design. The workload was anything but most of my courses drove home solid OOA/OOD principles and the SDLC. At the end of the day there wasn't much different from a CIS / other Software engineering degree. Save a Few game theory classes. There was a strong focus on Data Structures and Algorithms and solving complex problems using them, all while taking into account User Request be it end user or Engineering manager. I learned a lot during my time at college but my strongest suit came from years of tinkering wondering if I could program this or that if I could change the way it was done and make improvements. This landed me with a deep understanding of software analytics and ultimately the ability to reverse engineer code using only the data set the program uses. Fast forward to today and this ability allows me to quickly react to errors, identify the cause of a bug and near lightening speed. I often say when I am programming I upload the software to my own brain. Its sort of the metaphor for being able to trace the entire softwares functional testing simultaneously. All in all Its made me a powerhouse programmer with the ability to work in just about any language all the while being a quick study and I mean days to mastery not weeks or months. If I don't know it I learn it. Sort of the way of software these days. Every API has its own naming schemes and everything else. Not to mention by the time you come back to a technology from another project chances are your knowledge is out-dated. Anyways if you want Solid unbreakable code, engineering designs, debugging, or even just some advice on code. I am your gal. I can program at mastery level in all the C's (objective, C,C++,C#) and java is just c# with quarks(No seriously it is).Python is very similar to java in a lot of respects too, though I only started using it last month for machine learning projects. HTML, CSS, and PHP I am so rusty in it would take a day or so study before being able to move forward with those projects. As for API's QT is probably my biggest strength, its usually a goto for more complex systems but it really comes down to project needs.
