Across my career, I had the privilege of speech writing and public speaking, as I taught English at colleges for a couple of years. Due to the responsibility that came with my position, I had to write speeches for different occasions, including public speaking, toasts, dedications, and memorials. I have also presented my research at public lectures and academic conferences. The typical process of writing a speech involves getting to know the client and their needs and then writing the rough copy which is sent to the client. Next, the client sends it back for the needed revisions. Several revisions might be necessary.
