I had finished Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture with specialization in reinforced concrete structures and then spent 3 years working in RC structures department of Kyiv Research and Design Institute "ENERGOPROJECT" (PJSC KIEP). There I had been working not only on projects of industrial buildings and structures such as pumping stations, chimney foundations, pipeline trestles, but also apartment RC shear wall frame building in a seismic region. I learned how to design buildings and structures in different conditions. In particular: territories with high groundwater, with a probability of river flooding, on expansive clays, etc. Moreover, I finished Tekla Structures and Autodesk Revit courses that company provided. The biggest project I had participated while working there were new safe confinement for block 4 of Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant. I made drawings of foundations for the arch. It was good it was a great experience in working on big an important project in tight deadlines. Later I left this job for working in Architecture, Engineering & Design Firm «3proekt». In this company, I made structural analysis and drawings of multi-story residential buildings and hotels with reinforced concrete shear wall frame. Mostly the projects were fast-paced and I had to work under pressure. I had organized collective work of engineers in my department and gave them my knowledge of Autocad for more efficient work. In addition, I checked drawings of junior structural engineers, inspected construction sites and attended client meetings. As a result, we had more than forty successfully constructed buildings in less than 3 years. Moreover, I gained a lot of expertise in seismic engineering of residential buildings. After that, I changed job to ”Zorg Biogas” company. I am preparing all range of documentation including structural analysis, calculations, design specifications, architectural and structural drawings for all kinds of buildings and structures of biogas power plants. For instance, I make fermenter r.c. storage tanks with up to 10m height and 30m in diameter, bearing walls up to 5m height, pipeline trestles. Now I have more than 8 years of work experience as a Structural Engineer and looking for an opportunity to broaden my horizons in this field and to get some international work experience.
