symbols on medications

$15/hr Starting at $25

Some medications we have symbols on them, such as IR, MR, CR, SR, DS, What do these symbols mean ??

It starts with all the pharmaceutical forms, whether they are tablets, ampules, capsule, or ointment, etc. containing the effective substance and added materials.

The added material is the one that controls the exit and liberates the active substance from within it.

Taib Al -Shalon added the added materials control the liberation of the medicine (effective substance)? Eat it, either directly free, IR IR IMMEDIAATED RELESE, or the MRIFIED RELASE rate ...

IR: It means that the added materials allow the effective substance to directly liberate without delaying the dissolution or absorption and gives a quick effect for a short period and this is most of the drugs, so we put the symbol IR what is written on it, and therefore it is used from three to four times a day .

The pharmacists add materials and free of the medicine instead of what it is freed quickly and gives a short effect that is free to be released slowly and gives a long effect.

The CR is an acronym for the Controlled Release: It means freeing the drug with control, meaning adding two layers to the drug, its layer is directly released, and its layer is slowly liberated like the Zyflo CR

The SR shortcut to Sustained Release: It means an extended release like Oxybral

DS: A shortcut to Double Stress: It means a multiplier of strength like Spretere DS
