Toni Kroos has blasted players who move to the Premier League for money alone.
The Real Madrid midfielder's words come after former Los Blancos team-mate Casemiro joined Manchester United on a four-year, £375,000-a-week deal in August.
But Kroos told the OMR podcast the money in English football does not guarantee European success.
He said: 'TV money has been significantly higher in England for years and yet it hasn't resulted in English teams winning everything.
'Thank God not all players look only at salary but also at winning many titles and to grow more.'
Both Kroos and Casemiro played the full game as Carlo Ancelotti's side beat Liverpool 1-0 in the Champions League final in May.
The German, 32, is himself believed to earn a little more than £300,000 a week.
On Tuesday, Kroos admitted he believes the European Super League will happen eventually. The controversial breakaway league was originally announced in April 2021, but due to massive backlash from fans all over Europe, it was scrapped.
However, there are still murmurs of some people in football wanting it to happen one way or another. The World Cup winner was recently asked about the ESL and admitted that he does not think the idea has gone away among football's elite.
He told Marca: 'Never contradict your own President [Florentino Perez has been a big advocate for the ESL]. It is obvious that the idea existed and still exists. It should have been in place a long time ago.
'I think it will take a while to put it into place and I probably won't see it as an active player. My opinion is that I continue to believe it will happen, but I cannot say when.'
