I have been working on medical, pharmaceutical, marketing, cosmetics/beauty translation & editing projects for about 10 years. After graduation from the translation studies department of a prestigious public university in Turkey, I started working as a full time in-house medical translator. As an in-house translator for around 4.5 years, I especially focused on pharmaceuticals field including drug master files, site master files, marketing authorizations, new drug applications, SPCs and PILs, clinical articles, regulatory documents and cosmetics/beauty field including product information, tests on animals and humans, advertising and training documents, consumer questionnaires etc. I prepared and translated the related application documents for the bioequivalence and clinical trials such as study protocols, informed consent forms, CRFs, Investigator’s Brochures etc. and managed the process of application to Ethics Committee and Ministry of Health in the name of Sponsor. This job provided me a chance to gain first-hand experience for all procedures related with clinical trials and marketing authorizations. I worked for this company for 3.5 years and then left my job to work as a full time freelance translator. Thanks to my 10-year-experience in translation projects in medical and beauty industries, I have a great deal of expertise in terminology of both industries and can provide high quality and stylistically accurate Turkish texts in both of these fields.
