On Thursday, the Ukrainian General Staff announced that Russia had lost 21,000 soldiers since the start of the military offensive in late February.
In a statement, the Ukrainian staff confirmed the downing of 172 planes, 151 helicopters and 166 Russian drones between February 24 and April 21, 2022.
It stated that 829 tanks, 2,118 armored vehicles, 136 rocket launchers, 67 air defense systems and 393 artillery were destroyed during the same period.
It also indicated that the Russian forces lost 1,508 vehicles, 8 ships, speed boats, and 76 fuel transport vehicles.
