Jorge Barrera is an MIT Engineer with over 25 years of experience in EV and technology. He is a serial entrepreneur and EV pioneer, having created over 25 prototype vehicles. He is also an avid team builder, mentor, strategist, and innovator, with a passion for solar car racing.
His EV experience spans both the USA and Colombia. In the USA, his experience includes work with Solectria and MIT, focusing on projects such as Army Series EV, all-composite EV, e-bus energy modeling, hydrogen fuel cell electric, turbine hybrid electric, and e-conversion planning, as well as participation in Sunrayce USA and Akita/Suzuka races.
