AI Savvy is a company specializing in data. We work together with our clients to help them extract value from their data. We specialize in technologies at the core of Artificial Intelligence, Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing and Machine Learning. We have done projects for the petroleum industry, government, defense contractors, IT companies and several others.
Our team consists of a number of high profile researchers, experienced data scientists, stellar developers, as well as business experts. We are agile and comfortable with most popular tools and languages.

Our CEO, Dr. Om Gnawali, has built data acquisition and processing systems and launched several startups in the big data area. He likes to build usable software that gives actionable insights to customers. He received his Bachelors and Masters from MIT, PhD from USC, and was a postdoc at Stanford. Om won a MIT coding his group won 4th place in a competition at MIT, and won best paper award

CTO Dainis Boumber has 9 years of experience in Data Science and Software Engineering. He is an active researcher in Deep Learning, NLP & Domain Adaptation. He went to UT Austin and UH, where is finishing a PhD in CS. Dainis has expert-level skills in tensorflow, keras, scikit-learn, and python.
Dr. Ricardo Vilalta is our Research Director who is also an Associate Professor and the Director of the Pattern Analysis Laboratory at the University of Houston. Ricardo is one of the leading experts in Metalearning. His research interests include Machine Learning, Pattern Recognition, Statistics, Artificial Intelligence. In the past, he worked for IBM T.J. Watson Research Center and the Center for Research and Advanced Studies (CINVESTAV) and is a Senior IEEE Fellow. Ricardo received his PhD from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Work Terms
Our company employs developers and data scientist of varying skill level and experience, allowing for a wide range of tasks and payment options. With this said, our typical range is:
At least $20/hour (for very basic work), and up to $250 an hour for work that requires our top talent. We typically consider $10,000 a minimum fixed price offer for which we bid.
We work as a team, and while we may assign someone to work exclusively and full time with a client, we still assist them and ensure that the obligations are met. We are not a staffing agency.
Ideally, we are looking for a long-term relationship across multiple projects.
