As a freelance writer, I had always been passionate about crafting compelling stories and connecting with my readers. I believe that I have a natural talent for research and fact-checking, and I enjoy delving into new and diverse topics.
Over the years, I will say I have built up a diverse client base, ranging from small individuals to small scale corporate entities,and also reputation for producing high-quality work on tight deadlines, and my clients appreciates my attention to detail and ability to understand their needs.
My personal life, I'd say I'm an avid reader and I enjoyspending my free time exploring new authors and genres. I love to travel, and often document my adventures and share them with others. I'd say my most memorable experience as a writer came when I was asked to write a series of articles about the cultural traditions of a remote tribe in Eastern part of Nigeria called Enugu. I was fascinated by the opportunity to learn about a completely different way of life, and I spent months immersing myself in the research and writing process.
The final product I'd say was a series of beautifully written and deeply insightful articles that captured the essence of the tribe's culture and traditions thus praised by my clients and readers alike, and I'd say it has sharpened my reputation as a talented and skilled writer.
In the end, as a writer I'd say it has brought me a great sense of satisfaction and personal fulfillment. I am grateful for the opportunity to share my stories and ideas with the world, and I believe that my writing would always be a central part of my life and identity.
Work Terms
As a freelance writer, it's important to have clear hours of operation, preferred communication style, and payment terms to ensure that I can deliver high-quality work to my clients efficiently and effectively.
I'd clearly communicate my availability to potential clients. If i have a day job or other time commitments, I'd make it clear when I am available to work on writing projects. Then I'd consider setting regular office hours for myself, even if I work from home, this will help me establish boundaries and protect my time for writing and other work.
I'd responsive to client inquiries and requests for work within my stated hours of operation. If I'm are unable to meet a tight deadline, I'd communicate this to the client as soon as possible
Secondly, the best way for me to communicate with clients, will be via email, phone, or videoconferencing, depending on the choice of the client. I'd make sure that i communicate my preferred communication style to clients at the outset of a project, also I'd responsive to client inquiries and requests for updates, and provide timely feedback on drafts or revisions.
Finally, my payment terms to clients,will be by hourly rate or project fee, and any expenses that I expect to be reimbursed.
I'd also consider requiring a deposit or advance payment for large projects and also invoice clients promptly after completing work, and follow up (if) payment is overdue.
I'm also open to negotiating payment terms with clients if necessary, but also sure to protect my own interests and ensure that you are fairly compensated for your work. Thank you.
