I’m Alejandro Gonzalez, an engineering leader and full-stack developer with more than 15 years of experience building software for startups and global companies alike. My background blends hands-on coding with team leadership and product strategy, and my goal is simple, "to help founders and teams transform ideas into reliable, scalable, and beautifully designed applications".

Over the years, I’ve led engineering efforts at Amazon, Attentive, and ASAPP, where I focused on improving developer productivity, launching new platforms, and scaling systems to handle millions of users. I’ve also founded and built products like OnlineCook, a community-driven platform connecting home cooks through recipes, and have contributed to projects such as Modern Classrooms and Vanik, both of which reached thousands of active users.

My technical foundation is rooted in full-stack development. I work extensively with React, TypeScript, Node.js, NestJS and Python, and I have experience with Golang, PHP and SpringBoot (Java). I’m also experienced in designing microservices, APIs, and managing cloud architectures that prioritize speed and maintainability like AWS and Azure. My approach combines technical rigor with a strong sense of product ownership, I care as much about user experience as I do about code quality.

Work Terms

I’m available Monday through Friday, from 10 am to 6 pm. Eastern Time, and I’m open to adjusting my schedule for projects that require collaboration across time zones. I prefer communicating through WhatsApp, Slack, or scheduled video calls, and I make it a point to provide consistent updates so clients always know where things stand.

I’m comfortable working on either hourly or fixed-price contracts. For fixed-price projects, I usually recommend defining clear milestones tied to specific deliverables so progress is measurable and transparent. My working style emphasizes clarity, organization, and mutual respect, I aim to make every project feel structured, collaborative, and stress-free.
