Hi, I’m Amy Ryan, and I am a seasoned graphic designer and production artist with over 20 years of experience making complex product catalogs and marketing materials not just look good, but function perfectly. I’ve worked with brands like American Security Products and de Buyer, where accuracy, consistency, and speed were critical to keeping their materials current and on-brand.

My specialty? Taking the “boring stuff” off your plate. Catalog updates, price changes, spec sheets, layouts, print prep, file cleanup is exactly the kind of work I thrive on. I’m an expert in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and I’ve rescued more Canva disasters than I can count. I know how to keep large, multi-page documents clean, consistent, and print-ready, and I speak fluent “print shop,” so your files actually work the first time.

In addition to my design expertise, I bring over a decade of product and portrait photography and photo retouching to the table. My work has earned two “Best in Class” awards from the Inland Empire Photographers and Videographers Association for product photography, and three “Bronze” awards for portrait photography from The Portrait Masters. That eye for visual detail and composition carries over into every design I touch.

For the past four years, I’ve also been the producer and co-host of my own podcast, where I manage everything from scripting and editing to promotion and visuals. That experience taught me how to plan ahead, hit deadlines, and connect with an audience, which, in my opinion, is exactly what effective design should do.

Work Terms

Hours of Operation:
Monday through Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM (Pacific Time). Occasional weekend availability for urgent or time-sensitive projects by prior arrangement.

Payment Terms:
• Fixed-price or hourly projects welcome
• For fixed-price projects: 50% upfront / 50% upon final delivery (negotiable for long-term clients)
• For hourly projects: Weekly invoicing through Guru’s WorkRoom
• All payments must be made via Guru’s SafePay system

Communication Style:
I’m responsive, detail-oriented, and prefer clear written communication to keep everything organized. I’m available via Guru messages or Zoom as needed, but I can work with your preferred communication style as well. Quick check-ins and project updates are always welcome. I don't "ghost" my clients!

Turnaround Time:
I offer a typical turnaround of 48 hours for most catalog or document updates, and I always communicate if anything changes. Rush jobs can often be accommodated.

Project Management:
I’m comfortable working independently or collaboratively and can adapt to your preferred tools (Google Drive, Dropbox, Trello, etc.) for file sharing and feedback.
