Im a full stack web developer. I've just started back into web development after taking a 3 year break. During which time I upgraded and updated my skill set. I am available to work on projects involving PHP and Javascript. I am proficient at both bespoke PHP and PHP frameworks - especially Laravel. As well as node.js and I hope to have a demonstration site build in laravel uploaded early in 2006. As well as node.js and React. I developed a rich-text element for my photo blog site. I have made it publicly available. For a demonstration go to the comments section on my scenicireland site. When working with files on client's server I am OK with FTP or SSh. I became interested in computer programming in my early adulthood. I became familiar with the old BASIC and COBOL languages. That was the days when computers had boring black and white textual display. No pictures or videos. Computers were for enthusiasts only. In the mid nineties when graphical screens had became the norm and everybody was getting "on-line", I started to consider programming as a career. I learned the popular Java language. I also studied C and C++. And then when Microsoft produced C#, I studied it as well. The internet opened up a whole new set of opportunities for careers in the IT field. I began self educating on web programming. I learned PHP and PERL and Javascript. Over the past several years I have been building my career as a freelance web developer. I have specialised in PHP for server side programming. PHP has been the leading server side language for a number of years. Many other server side languages have looked like challenging PHP at times but PHP has so far triumphed. Some of these other languages have addressed the flaws in PHP. But PHP remains the leader. With the release of PHP7, PHP has became incredibly faster. It will be around for a long time. I specialise in Javascript for Client Side development. I have recently been learning node.js, a server side version of Javascript. And of course HTML and CSS.
