Experienced Solidworks design

I have been building and designing things in my head and with my hands for as long as I can remember. From fixing big-wheels in the basement as a child to racing motorcycles as an invincible young man, I have always loved things with wheels, figuring out how things work, and how to make them better. Now I’m figuring out how things work with my two children and talking endlessly about why something was made one way or another, or how it could be better. I have lately been focusing on helping smaller, individual inventors: people who have good ideas, but who need help making that next step of taking an idea into a reality. I still enjoy working on the larger, corporate type projects, with their deeper pockets and in-place systems, but I really get a lot of satisfaction sharing my experiences in product development with people who are motivated but might lack the expertise to get things going. I have been doing less hands-on work these days, but I still enjoy getting out in the shop and making something, if not for a client, then with my kids.

Work Terms

I am open to many types of project and work terms, I enjoy the variety. I don't mind small jobs on occasion and I'm not scared of bigger ones. I am project based, if it's appropriate and interesting I am interested.
