About

Advancing naval architecture through custom software integration to engineer safer, highly optimized, and sustainably efficient vessels for tomorrow's global fleet.

About Me,
I am a naval architecture and marine engineering professional dedicated to driving innovation at the intersection of traditional maritime craftsmanship and advanced digital technology. Born and raised in Tanzania, my journey has been shaped by the vibrant coastlines, the vital maritime trade of East Africa, and a deep, lifelong fascination with how massive structures conquer the open ocean. Today, I leverage my engineering background alongside computer programming to design, optimize, and digitalize modern vessel systems.

My Journey & Work Experience is that ,
My path into the maritime world began with a rigorous academic foundation in ship structural design, hull form optimization, and vessel stability calculations. I quickly realized that the future of naval architecture doesn't just lie in physical shipyards, but in the digital systems that power them.
To bridge this gap, I immersed myself in computer programming, mastering languages like C++ and C to develop custom engineering software, automate complex workflows, and run advanced hydrodynamic simulations.
My work is guided by three simple principles:
1. Precision Engineering: In the middle of the ocean, there is no room for error. Whether calculating transverse stability or writing a data structure in C++, structural integrity and logical accuracy come first.
2. Sustainability: The maritime industry is undergoing a massive green transition. I am deeply committed to exploring and implementing eco-friendly technologies, from hull resistance minimization to cold ironing (shore power systems) that eliminate portside emissions.
3. Continuous Evolution: Technology never stands still. I believe a modern engineer must be a lifelong student, constantly updating their toolkit to solve tomorrow's maritime challenges.

Personal Anecdotes & Hobbies is that,
One of my favorite turning points occurred during my time in the ship's engine room. Amidst the thunderous roar of massive marine diesel generators and the intricate maze of piping, I realized that managing a ship's physical systems is remarkably similar to managing software architecture. Both require flawless logic, structural framing, and efficient resource allocation. That realization is what completely locked in my passion for blending code with steel.
When I am not deep in a stability text, building software tools, or working on complex technical engineering reports,

Work Terms

Hours of Operation is Standard Working Hours: Monday through Friday, 09:00 AM to 05:00 PM (EAT / East Africa Time).

Project Support: Flexible scheduling can be arranged for critical project milestones, software deployments, or urgent vessel stability consultations.

Response Window: General inquiries and non-urgent messages are typically answered within 24 hours during the standard business week.

Payment Terms:
1.Milestone-Based Payments: For large-scale projects—such as extensive naval architecture drafting, software development in C++, or detailed technical reports—payments are structured around clearly defined milestones (e.g., Initial Design/Code Architecture, Mid-Project Review, and Final Delivery).

2.Deposit Requirement: A standard upfront deposit of 30% to 50% is required before technical engineering work or software coding commences.

3.Invoicing & Net Terms: Final invoices are issued upon successful delivery of project files, with a standard payment window of Net 15 or Net 30 days, depending on prior contractual agreements.

4.Accepted Methods: Secure electronic bank transfers, mobile money platforms, or integrated freelance platform escrow systems

Preferred Communication Style:
1.Email is highly preferred for formal project updates, technical documentation exchange, and contract revisions to maintain a clear written trail. "andrewshija073@gmail.com"

2.Virtual Meetings: Scheduled video or audio consultations (via Zoom, Google Meet, or Microsoft Teams) can be arranged in advance for project kick-offs, milestone reviews, or deep-dive technical alignment.

3.Communications are kept highly professional, structured, and direct. Complex technical data—such as hydrodynamics analysis or structural framing assessments—will always be accompanied by clear, actionable summaries.
