Creative Writer, Social Media and Marketing Strategist Committed to helping companies build their brand and effectively market themselves on Social Media

My name is Anissa Twine, I am a recent graduate from the University of Bridgeport earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mass Communications with a concentration in Public Relations, with 2 years of relevant experience.

In my position as Marketing Intern for Newark Downtown District, I developed and produced content for social media channels and the company website, drafted, and edited monthly newsletters, drafted press releases, and maintained media list. I also served as a liaison between Stakeholders, City Officials and the organization disseminating pertinent information when necessary. In addition, I assisted the marketing coordinator with planning strategic social media campaigns to help drive engagement on social media platforms.

While Civic Engagement Intern for Bergen Volunteer Center, I assisted the Civic Engagement Director with conceptualizing and executing fundraiser and company events, drafting and editing press releases for "Get Connected" and "Bergen Amazing Race", and maintaining the company website and social media channels. I also provided administrative support to the office team by answering phone calls, responding to emails, ensuring students tuition was paid, and recording minutes at weekly staff meetings.

I have also gained extensive experience in Program Coordination through my work on campus as President of the Black Student Alliance and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. As President of both organizations, it was my responsibility to manage a board of 7 individuals ensuring that internal affairs were in order, identify and implement effective communication strategies, maintain relationships with Professors and University Officials, and oversee event planning logistics from brainstorming to execution phases.

My hobbies include reading, painting, shopping and traveling. I believe that you should make the best of all situations in life, which is why am always in good spirits. I enjoy spending a lot of time with family and friends.

Work Terms

Ideally, I would like to work typical work hours from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, however, I do not minding working past those hours for projects that have a quick turnover period. I prefer to be contacted by telephone but if you need to contact me after 5:00 pm, I prefer to be contacted via email. I am prompt in responding to emails as I get notification alerts on my cell phone.
