About

My personal target is always to find the best design solution that will serve the product and guarantee 100% stability

I'm a Freelancer Senior C/C++ Embedded Software Engineer with hardware Education (Bachelor and Master) and 10+ years of Embedded SW development.

During my professional life I've gained excellent knowledge of V-Model in all phases – Requirements Analysis, Design, Development, Documentation, Test Design and conduction, post-production support. I've gained as well experienced in Framework, HW-SW (HSI) interfacing, debugging and low level drivers.

I've built great Soft skills based on being part of multinational teams and over 17 finished projects. I've worked with people from: USA, Germany, Sweden, India, UK, Spain and Egypt.

In my spare time I have a lot of hobbies, but the biggest are salsa dancing, skiing and sports in general. I love to read books since I was a kid and that's my other passion.

About my personal professional goals - I always thought that my personal mission in life is to get better, invest more than I know in any new project, go and many times check anything that seems seldom a problem (and so most people would miss it), and become proficient and even greater each time. I love making perfect products and love to improve my work based on iterations.

I have realized that perfection is practically impossible with iterations, and that self-criticism is important to allow the assumption that once you have done something good, later you can improve it in speed, quality, add new features, etc.

Work Terms

Normally I work 45 hours per week, with seldom possibility to increase this to 55 hours when necessary.

I insist on clear targets and plans and periodic check of milestones. I require as well periodic connection with my clients so that they know where we are in the process, what problems we might have, what we have already achieved, etc. I insist those sync meetings to be via vocal communication (once per week, even if it is short), the rest of the communication may go via mails and chats.

In case specific HW is necessary my customer should provide it.

I'm willing to travel, with normally up to 3 weeks for kick-start a project, and later on not more than 25% of the time.

I'm willing to go for business trips to end customers when necessary.

I'm not open for permanent relocation.

Regarding payment - the normal practice I have so far is to pay for the sum of monthly services not later than the 40th day after invoice is sent on the 1st or 2nd the next month. This means - I work e.g. in April 140 hours, send invoice on 2nd of May and get my payment for April not later than 13 of June.

All business trip expenses are covered by the client.

Finally for the prove of my services and to keep full trace of what has been done on a certain date of work, or to sum up results for certain periods, I deliver daily written report of the performed work. the amount of technical details there can be from scarce to complete (as I normally work with keeping a full journal for myself in simple text files).
In addition there are as well platforms for online monitoring of the activity of remotely based people, and I consider it a simple way of keeping additional track of the hours spent.
