Be good at whatever you are doing. My aim is to become an established name in data visualization and analysis. As a BI developer, I want to convert the one-off jobs to a lasting clientele.
Long before the pandemic struck the world and millions lost their livelihood, I made a rather hasty decision. My company of last three years, a firm that I trusted to provide me a life long job when i switched over another three years ago, ran into trouble and many including me were grounded. I spent months scouting job portals and attending interviews only to find that there are thousands like me on the hunt, for a job that was supposed to be uncommon and highly technical. It took a whole two years for me to realize that my career in that field is essentially over. It is by sheer chance that I landed up in the contest page of a freelancing portal. Once the contest was won, I gained further contracts and in 4 months time I was in the top 1% of the freelancers and was awarded Preferred Freelancer tag. Meanwhile I learned Power BI, Google Data Studio and Python using the online resources. Till this date, in the second week on Dec 2020, I have completed 38 projects using Power BI, Google Data Studio and Excel across two different freelancing platforms. Along with the projects, i am currently pursuing an online bachelors degree in Programming and Data Science. I want to broaden my knowledge in the data analysis and move forward. I am currently working on how I could create solutions for my previous career field using ML and AI. And miles to go before I sleep, And miles to go before I sleep
