Research-driven. Detail-obsessed. Endlessly curious.
I'm Bernice, a Kenya-based nursing student and multi-disciplinary freelancer with a strong foundation in research, accuracy, and detail-oriented work. I have two years' experience as a freelance transcriber with TranscribeMe, including specialized legal transcription work like a shipping company deposition, and I work as a freelance health and medical writer producing publication-ready content on topics such as diabetes management, sleep habits, and traditional medicine in Kenya, always backed by careful research and citation verification from trusted sources like WHO, CDC, and Mayo Clinic. Alongside this, I own a clothing business and work as a stylist, and I'm currently completing a nursing degree, which sharpens my attention to clinical detail and disciplined documentation. Outside of work, I have a genuine passion for research and health topics, love cooking and baking across different cuisines, enjoy traveling to new places, and have a strong interest in fashion and personal style. I value accuracy, curiosity, and integrity in everything I do — whether that means verifying a medical claim before publishing it, transcribing a legal document with precision, or simply learning something new for the sake of understanding it better. At my core, I'm someone driven by a genuine love of learning, care for the people and work I engage with, and a constant desire to grow across every part of my life.
