We have many tools at our disposal, some open source tools some closed source and many of our own creation. We use mostly Linux based systems however we do also make use of Windows machines and Apple Mac (Linux based).
Not all security testing procedures can be automated therefore we do enforce that all our security engineers are at the top of their game when it comes to manual testing such as SQL injection, port mapping, cross site scripting and more.
