Quant | Developer | Innovator | Engineering PhD
I'm a data scientist & developer currently working in finance and seeking out challenging problems to solve. I have a PhD in chemical engineering. You might wonder how you go from chemical engineering to finance. Research is all about problem solving and mine consisted mostly of computational molecular modeling. Financial analytics and modeling takes the same skills and applies them to problems in finance. The experience also prepared me with substantial knowledge and skill level with Python, which is what I find myself working with most often. I recently developed a Jupyter based application that integrates data flow with an interactive documentation tool (allowing for real time data analytics and visualizations without requiring coding knowledge) using Python, JavaScript and Latex.
