Endless rainy days in a rambling, draughty Victorian house in London as a child. No television but shelves and shelves full, sometimes double stacked, of books. So I learned to disappear into a new reality inside those faded pages and began my love affair with language as well as stories and myths.
Fast forward many years to studying for a degree in Engish Literature in Scotland. Falling in love with Spain and the Spanish on our summer holidays. Moving with a young family of my own to start my teaching career near Barcelona.
Many years have passed since I began to teach which became my passion. I have taught English, Spanish, French , Latin and Art. Several times I've had the good fortune to meet and teach other people who are as fascinated by language as I am: its roots, differences and structure.
Once again I'm living in Spain, Andalucia this time, land of light. I'm teaching but online because of the pandemic. I would dearly like to try my hand at something new as working online seems to be stretching ahead, I'd like to translate, proofread, ghostwrite.
