What makes me stand out from the rest? LEARNING! Learning means more than staying up-to-date with the latest marketing trends (which is good to do). When I'm passionate about something, I sink into this weird little competition with myself and dig into learning all I am able because I DON'T know. I WANT to know it all.

Over five years ago, I made an unexpected career change. I am a nurse, but after a severe injury in a car wreck, a change had to be made. I was the lone member of a new marketing department with zero experience. My first task was to create social profiles for seven of his companies on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter and to begin posting.

Before my start date, I researched each company.

I watched every video I could find on social media marketing, read books, and when in doubt YouTube it - correct? Then I carefully developed a strategy and a plan for each of these companies, which included content marketing.

The outcome? I nailed my first task and fell in love with all things marketing. Two new members were later added to the team - my manager and a website manager both of whom had the knowledge and experience. We made an awesome team. I learned so much from these two ladies and even taught them Premiere Pro in the end!
